Before You Move

  • Select a move coordinator who can be the point of contact with your employees and Galleria Property Management.
  • Evaluate telecom/data needs and hire a contractor.  Work with Galleria Property Management for a smooth implementation.
  • Hire a mover with adequate experience and insurance.
  • Inventory and assess your furniture, IT and other equipment needs and order as necessary.
  • Assign workspaces before the movers start.
  • Obtain general liability and business insurance to meet your lease requirements.
  • Order signage through Galleria Property Management.
  • Handle change of address: notify USPS, clients, change stationery and business cards.
  • Order keys and access cards through Galleria Property Management.
  • Purchase any moving supplies you might need.
  • Reserve freight elevators and loading docks through Galleria Property Management.
  • Communicate the move schedule to employees.

The Day Before the Move

  • Pack up desks.
  • Back up computers.
  • Label boxes appropriately.
  • Distribute new keys and access codes/cards to employees.

Moving Day

  • Protect moving path.
  • Post signs as needed for staff and movers.
  • Set up lost and found.
  • Clean out old office.
  • Collect old keys and access cards to former location.
